Treasury Analyst

Role Purpose
The Treasury Analyst will support day-to-day Treasury operations while developing expertise in Treasury systems, data, and processes. The role is designed for an analyst with strong curiosity and an interest in technology, automation, and continuous improvement within a global Treasury environment.
Key Responsibilities
Core Treasury Operations
Support daily cash positioning, bank reconciliations, cash allocations, and Treasury payments
Assist with short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting and liquidity monitoring
Support cash pooling structures and intercompany funding activity
Support Letters of Credit issuance
Support bank account opening / closing
Assist with foreign currency hedging and cash investment processes under senior guidance
Maintain bank account documentation, signatories, approval limits, and SOX-related controls
Support monthly and quarterly Treasury reporting and audit requests
Carry out ad hoc analysis and tasks to support the Treasury team
Technology, Systems & Data
Develop strong working knowledge of Treasury systems, electronic banking platforms, and ERP systems
Support Treasury system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and ongoing optimization activities
Assist with maintaining and improving Treasury reports, KPIs, and management information
Help ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of Treasury data across systems
Automation & Continuous Improvement
Demonstrate curiosity about existing Treasury processes and seek opportunities to improve them
Identify manual, repetitive, or inefficient tasks and propose practical improvement ideas
Support automation and process improvement initiatives, including RPA and data-led solutions
Assist with documenting processes, controls, and enhancements to embed best practice
Support Treasury involvement in wider Finance or corporate technology initiatives where appropriate
Stakeholder Interaction
Work closely with Finance, Accounts Payable, IT, and Treasury colleagues globally
Interact with banks and system providers under guidance from senior team members
Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders across different regions and cultures
Skills & Experience – Essential
Approximately 2+ years’ experience in a Treasury, Finance, or analytically focused role
Basic knowledge of cash management services
Interest in Treasury operations, systems, and technology
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
Strong Excel skills
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of tasks
Skills & Experience – Desirable
Exposure to electronic banking platforms and Treasury Management Systems (e.g. GTreasury or similar)
Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems
Awareness of data or reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Python
Exposure to process improvement, automation, or system change initiatives

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York City. The reasonable estimate, if hired in New York City, is $65,000 - $75,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in New York City. If this role is open to candidates outside of New York City, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
