Position Overview
The Spence Campaign is seeking a detail-oriented Finance and Operations Associate to support fundraising, donor relations, and campaign operations. This position will play a key role in helping the campaign build the financial resources necessary to compete and win while maintaining strong relationships with supporters across Southwest Florida.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with data and people, and excited to contribute to both fundraising and grassroots campaign efforts. While primarily focused on finance and donor engagement, this role may also assist with field and event operations as campaign needs require.
Responsibilities
- Assist with donor research, prospecting, and fundraising outreach
- Maintain and update donor databases and contribution records
- Support finance call time preparation, scheduling, and follow-up
- Draft donor correspondence, thank-you messages, and fundraising materials
- Assist with fundraising events, receptions, and house parties
- Track pledges, contributions, and fundraising goals
- Coordinate finance-related logistics and administrative tasks
- Assist with campaign events, volunteer activities, and field operations as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Candidate and Campaign Manager
Qualifications
- Passionate about building a people-powered campaign in Southwest Florida
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with fundraising, nonprofit development, campaigns, sales, customer relations, or administrative work preferred
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and common office software
- Experience with NGP, ActBlue, or campaign finance software is a plus
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends when necessary
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Spanish or other language skills are a plus
