Position Summary

The Freight Broker / Logistics Account Executive will be responsible for developing new business, managing customer relationships, and ensuring successful load coverage. This role combines outside sales, account management, and operational execution to help drive growth and deliver exceptional service to our customers.

We provide qualified sales leads to help accelerate your success, while also encouraging the development of your own customer base. The ideal candidate has freight brokerage experience and an existing understanding of transportation and logistics, though we are willing to invest in a highly motivated fast learner with the right attitude and work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and transportation decision-makers
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and company-provided leads
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts
  • Negotiate rates with customers and carriers
  • Coordinate and cover freight shipments to ensure on-time service
  • Build and maintain a reliable carrier network
  • Provide proactive communication and exceptional customer service
  • Monitor freight movements and resolve service issues as needed
  • Meet and exceed sales and revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate records within company CRM and transportation systems

QualificationsPreferred

  • Freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation industry experience
  • Existing book of business not restricted by a non-compete agreement
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Additional Plus

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
  • Experience working with both brokerage and asset-based transportation operations
