Crimson Resource Management has an immediate opening for an Engineering Technician in Bakersfield, CA. Qualified candidates must have extensive computer knowledge in Microsoft, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, as well as database management. The selected candidate will assist with the following responsibilities: gathering and compiling data for well reviews and pattern reviews, generating and updating wellbore schematics, permitting, reporting and notification associated with pertinent regulatory entities, well performance tracking, budgeting and various additional duties associated with engineering support. Must work in a team environment, manage assignment deadlines, and assume broad job responsibilities.

Current pay range for this position is reasonably expected to range from $29.00 – $36.00 per hour. This position is a non-exempt, full-time position. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
Position Roles and Responsibilities
This engineering technician position has the following roles and responsibilities:
- Support technical staff during well reviews and pattern reviews by preparing data and managing software. Acquires data, stores data in computer database, extracts data, and prepares reports.
- Provides related support to other departments such as Geology and Operations.
- Take ownership of creating and maintaining wellbore schematics.
- Manages permitting, reporting, and notification associated with pertinent regulatory entities.
- Assists in AFE budget preparation.
- Performs engineering support in field data collection such as well logging, well stimulation and general field data collection.
- Reviews well activity reports and records key well locations in drilling activity.
- Owns the development, standardization, and distribution of well service documentation.
Critical Skills and Knowledge
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Familiar with using Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, OFM, SQL Aries experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with oilfield activities, specifically well servicing.
- Manage deadlines.
- Team player able to effectively work inter-dependently.
- Assume broad job responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Five years of applicable work history.
