Summary

The Asitrade Wet-End Operator is responsible for the overall operation of the section of the Asitrade single-face laminator that makes the single-face liner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

• Prepare rolls of paper (for inside liner and medium) for placement into the single facer. Each station consists of two roll stands.
• Prepare splices of rolls of paper to ensure smooth transition during roll change.
• Make necessary adjustments to heat, tension, moisture of single face to minimize warp and ensure good adhesion of liner and medium.
• Clean and maintain flute roll cartridges to ensure unobstructed vacuum and for air operation in rolls (3 cartridges will be on this machine – 1b-Flute, 1E-Flute, 1F-Flute).
• Monitor temperature of rolls, starch adhesive, and moisture of liner to reduce variables on manufacture of single face.
• Assist dry-end operator and /or utility personnel as required.
• Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Overtime is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
