Role Description

We are seeking a LabVIEW Engineer for a full-time on-site role located in Rockford, IL. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining LabVIEW applications, integrating test systems, and performing troubleshooting and debugging to ensure optimal system performance. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, preparing technical documentation, and continuously improving software performance and reliability. Attention to detail, a focus on code optimization, and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Summary

8+ Years of experienced LabVIEW Engineer for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) designs, develops, and debugs software using NI LabVIEW & NI Test Stand to automate validation and production testing. They create Virtual Instruments (VIs), interface with hardware (DAQ, instruments), and ensure high-quality test data. Proficiency in LabVIEW, hardware integration skills, and strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • System Development: Design and maintain LabVIEW applications for automated test systems.
  • Hardware Interfacing: Control instruments such as DAQ devices, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital mustimeters.
  • Test Execution: Develop and run test scripts, test sequences, and procedures for product validation.
  • Data Management: Collect, analyze, and report test data, ensuring compliance with product specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work with manufacturing and design engineers to optimize test coverage and troubleshooting
  • Aerospace Electrical System Products & System knowledge is added advantage

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
  • Strong LabVIEW programming skills, LabVIEW & NI Test stand
  • Experience with National Instruments hardware (PXI, cRIO) and communication protocols (TCP/IP, Serial, CAN, Bluetooth, SPI, I2C)
