Design Observer
Location: San Mateo, CA
- Full-time
- Hybrid (Tues–Thurs in studio, Mon/Fri optional WFH)
Bould Design is growing. We’re looking for an exceptional industrial designer to join our award-winning studio. You’ll work closely with a small, experienced team and contribute to every phase of the design process—from early concept development through production.
We offer a focused, collaborative work environment for designers who are self-directed, detail-oriented, and passionate about their craft. Our projects span the leading edge of design, technology, and manufacturing—from nimble startups to category-defining global brands.
What we're looking for
1-3+ years of professional industrial design experience
- Strong conceptual and form development skills
- Refined aesthetic sensitivity and design judgment
- Excellent sketching, visualization, and storytelling ability
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite
- Interest in seeing designs through to production
- Thoughtful attention to user experience and usability
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Collaborative, analytical, and self-motivated mindset
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Industrial Design or related field
- Authorization to work in the United States
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $70,000–$100,000, depending on experience
