Our 2600 square mile jurisdiction includes the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, the Sun Valley Resort, and nearby Craters of the Moon National Monument. We provide all aspects of law enforcement services: patrol, detention, search and rescue, civil processing, and backcountry, snow, and marine patrols. Minimum Deputy Qualifications
- Detention Deputy Minimum Age: 18 years old
- Patrol Deputy Minimum Age: 21 years old
- U.S. Citizen
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; additional certification in law enforcement or criminal justice is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate law enforcement vehicles
- Good Character and a clean background are required
