As a Supply Chain Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for domestic parcel shipping, and warehouse operations at our Westbrook, Maine facility. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, Monday – Thursday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm and Friday 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm. The Worldwide Operations and Supply Chain team plays a critical role in ensuring IDEXX products are delivered accurately, safely, and on time to customers around the world. Through operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the team helps maintain the high level of service our customers depend on every day.

In this role
- You will lead and support a team of approximately 13–15 employees responsible for picking, packing, and shipping IDEXX parcels to our domestic customers.
- You will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to employees through regular 1:1 conversations, training coordination, and clear communication of expectations and priorities.
- You will use empathetic, respectful, and effective communication skills to foster a positive team environment, support employee development, and address operational challenges.
- You will monitor operational workflows and team performance to ensure productivity, accuracy, and service goals are met across the shift.
- You will review weekly employee performance reporting and operational metrics within SAP to identify trends, opportunities, and improvement areas.
- You will troubleshoot operational issues, investigate errors, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruption and improve processes.
- You will partner with cross-functional teams and training resources to support employee development and operational effectiveness.
- You will ensure compliance with safety procedures and help promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- You will support inventory accuracy and shipment documentation by ensuring correct quantities, materials, and processes are followed.
- You will oversee the safe and efficient use of warehouse equipment including reach trucks, dock stockers, order pickers, and clamp trucks.
- You will maintain consistent communication across shifts to ensure operational alignment and customer service standards are achieved.
What you need to succeed
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience directly leading a team of 10+ employees in a warehouse environment (required).
- You have at least 2 years of warehouse operations experience (required).
- You have demonstrated experience coaching and developing employees in a professional and empathetic manner (required).
- You have experience problem solving and conducting investigations into operational errors or workflow issues (required).
- You have strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (required).
- You are an effective communicator with strong active listening, written, and verbal communication skills (required).
- You have strong attention to detail and experience maintaining reporting accuracy (required).
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment with changing daily priorities and production demands (required).
- You are fluent in English for both verbal and written communication (required).
- You are able to meet the physical and environmental requirements of working in a warehouse setting, including extended standing and sitting, frequent computer and phone use, extended reach, occasional climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, lifting up to 50–70 lbs, and specific vision abilities including close-range vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. You are also comfortable working near moving electro-mechanical equipment using appropriate protective equipment as needed, working periodically in cold room environments at 41°F or below, and traveling occasionally as required (required).
- You have experience using forklift equipment in a warehouse setting (preferred).
- You have experience using RF scanners or similar warehouse technology (preferred).
Schedule
- The hours for this position are Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM and Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM.
- Shifts and hours may vary slightly depending on business needs.
- Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.
