We are looking for an exceptional Senior Designer to join our team. This role will focus on crafting high-quality digital-first design work across a variety of marketing and communication touchpoints, blending strong conceptual thinking with refined execution. This role will work closely with an Associate Creative Director team, a designer and report into the Group Creative Director.
The work is for a global financial professional accreditation organization in the regulated finance space. The program is similar in scope and importance to a professional certification or licensing exam for financial practitioners and advisors. The environment is complex, detail-driven, and highly regulated, with multiple concurrent initiatives and opportunities to elevate the creative standard.
Role + Responsibilities
- Digital design for a variety of deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with creative teams to develop campaign visual systems spanning digital platforms, out-of-home placements, display advertising, email, and more
- Apply strong knowledge of best practices across digital and traditional media, with a particular emphasis on precision and clarity in regulated environments
- Contribute to ideation for campaigns and design solutions, bringing strong foundational design thinking and awareness of current visual trends
- Participate in the development of pre-production materials such as moodboards, storyboards, visual references, and lightweight prototypes where needed
- Work fluidly across disciplines, maintaining strong communication and alignment between design, strategy, and production partners
- Quickly respond to feedback and iterate effectively, balancing creative ambition with business and regulatory constraints
- Maintain a high level of craft and attention to detail, especially in systems where accuracy and consistency are critical
- Present work clearly and confidently, articulating design decisions with strong rationale
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional design experience in an agency or studio environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating digital design systems, and high-craft execution
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design tools for layout, visual design, and presentation
- Comfortable using modern AI-assisted tools for ideation, image generation, and creative exploration
- Strong understanding of designing within regulated or compliance-heavy industries (finance experience strongly preferred but not required)
- Experience designing across digital-first environments, with attention to visual systems and scalable assets
- Strong communication skills and ability to clearly express design rationale to both creative and non-creative stakeholders
- Highly detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and consistency across systems
- Passion for design culture and for building thoughtful, future-facing creative solutions
Benefits
The salary band for this role is $100,000 - $125,000. Where a prospective new hire's base salary will fall within this band depends on several factors including their qualifications and experience, the skill level required in the role, market rates, and the salaries of existing crew members at Big Spaceship within the same role to maintain equity.
