Essential Functions
- Partner with the physician co-leader and leadership team to drive performance across financial results, revenue cycle, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and quality metrics.
- Oversee daily practice operations including patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, clinical workflows, EMR documentation, coding, and charge capture.
- Ensure accurate coordination of specialty referrals, ancillary services, and pre-certifications.
- Manage front-end collections including co-pays and co-insurance, supporting strong revenue cycle performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Foster effective communication through daily huddles, team meetings, and ongoing collaboration with providers and staff.
- Analyze and leverage data to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care, operational efficiency, and satisfaction outcomes.
- Champion effective utilization of EMR systems (e.g., Epic) to support preventive care, disease management, and meaningful use initiatives.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-performing team members.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to staff.
- Optimize staffing models, assign responsibilities, and manage schedules based on patient volume and staff competencies.
- Oversee budgeting, billing, collections, and cost-containment strategies to ensure financial health of the practice.
- Maintain compliance and competency in point-of-care testing (waived and non-waived), following all applicable regulations.
Education, Experience & Requirements
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical practice required
- Experience managing staff required
- Experience managing billing, collections, and financial processes in a healthcare setting preferred
- Experience with software platforms preferred

- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems and healthcare operations
- Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Skilled in handling sensitive and emotionally complex situations
- Bilingual skills are a plus, depending on patient population
