Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, forecasts, and management presentations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for business units, manufacturing operations, and corporate functions.
- Analyze operating expenses, labor utilization, production costs, and manufacturing performance metrics.
- Assist with program financial reporting, including revenue, profitability, backlog, and contract performance analysis.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Support capital expenditure analysis and return-on-investment evaluations for manufacturing and production initiatives.
- Partner with accounting teams to reconcile financial results and investigate budget-to-actual variances.
- Assist in preparing executive-level dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct ad hoc analyses supporting business development, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Support compliance and reporting requirements associated with government contracts and aerospace industry regulations.
- Participate in process improvement projects focused on financial reporting, data analytics, and operational efficiency.
Education & Experience
- Required:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
- Interest in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, space systems, missile defense, or national security programs.
- Understanding of government contracting, FAR/DFARS regulations, or cost accounting principles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Desire to learn in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
- Passion for aerospace, defense, and advanced technology industries.
