Academic Success Coach

Crossover

You understand that the most compassionate act is to maintain the highest standard for a student. Your background includes competing, creating, or succeeding at a level few ever experience: elite-level sports, a distinguished degree from a top university, a position at a highly selective organization, or a business you launched and grew independently. Imagine applying that rigor in a K-12 setting with students who have never encountered someone like you—someone determined to hold them to benchmarks they never imagined reaching. If maintaining elite expectations feels too demanding, this isn't the right role for you.

Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction to enable students to complete core academics in roughly two hours daily. The remaining time is dedicated to developing life skills, pursuing individual interests, and fostering meaningful personal development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments establish credibility: an individual who can assess the environment, shape the culture, and guide students through resistance, lack of focus, and internal doubt.

Your role is not instructional. AI delivers the academic content. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and enforce the same rigorous standard you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching, identifying obstacles and establishing challenging objectives. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills sessions designed for competency, not amusement. The final twenty percent centers on morning routines that set daily expectations and cultivate a culture where average performance is unacceptable.

The progression here is toward mastery, not management. You begin by mastering Alpha's approach and earning student trust. Within months, you become the individual they respect enough to push them beyond their perceived limits. The outcome isn't a title change. It's the privilege of working with the same students year after year, supporting their development. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September confidently address a room of adults in May.

This position remains centered on students. Students are the purpose, not a pathway to another role. If your motivation to leave your current position is the mission itself rather than career advancement, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify obstacles, establish challenging objectives, and ensure students remain accountable for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills sessions designed for competency by drawing on compelling narratives from your own elite background, then evaluating mastery using Alpha's Test2Pass framework
  • Establishing the cultural standard each morning through purposeful kickoffs that communicate high-performance expectations across campus
  • Monitoring student performance continuously and modifying coaching approaches based on evidence rather than intuition
  • Developing trusted mentoring relationships with students and their families by maintaining high standards, demonstrating consistency, and creating documented motivation strategies

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI-powered academic system manages instruction; your focus is motivation
  • Addressing a classroom of 30 students (your work centers on high-impact coaching in small groups, not large-scale instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or advancing through an administrative hierarchy (this position focuses on direct student outcomes, not organizational management)
  • Attending faculty meetings or managing school bureaucracy (your attention remains concentrated on students)
  • Reducing standards to meet targets (if a student achieves 99%, your responsibility is to identify what prevented 100%)
