Research Associate - BioDesign

Pride Health is seeking a Research Associate – BioDesign for a biotechnology company specializing in the discovery, development, and delivery of the treatment of neurological diseases to patients worldwide.

Job Title: Research Associate – BioDesign, Biotherapeutics Discovery and Delivery

Location: Cambridge, MA (On-Site)

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 12-Months

Hours: 40 hours/wk, 8 hours/day

Pay Rate: $34.00 - $41.54 per hour

Direct responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Supporting tissue enhanced delivery platform development and portfolio programs
• Processing animal tissues for protein analysis and nucleic acid extraction
• Performing MSD and PCR-based methods for bioanalytical analyses
• Performing cell-based function assays to characterize biotherapeutics
• Establishing SOPs and adapt new protocols from literature
• Maintaining electronic laboratory notebook

Requirements

• BS biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar
• 1+ years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry/post-bachelor’s research
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques (qPCR/ddPCR, Western blot, ELISA, etc.)
• Ability to independently execute experiments and analyze data
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to productively collaborate in cross-functional and matrixed teams

Preferences

• Previous experience with animal tissue processing
• Previous experience with ELISA or MSD assays
• Previous experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays
