We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our team and play a key role in supporting our attorneys across a variety of complex litigation matters.
As a Paralegal at Porter Scott, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. You will review and summarize records, manage subpoenas, assist with discovery, coordinate experts and independent medical examinations, and help prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial. You will work closely with attorneys, clients, vendors, and experts to gather information, organize case materials, and ensure deadlines are met.
Successful paralegals in our firm are proactive, detail-oriented professionals who take ownership of their work, communicate effectively, and help move cases forward efficiently. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to producing high-quality work product in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of two years of litigation paralegal experience.
- A paralegal certificate or qualifications consistent with California Business and Professions Code §6450.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and deadlines.
- Experience reviewing and summarizing records.
- Experience preparing and managing subpoenas.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.
Experience in insurance defense, public entity defense, employment law, medical malpractice, or other civil litigation practice areas is highly desirable.
