Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)
- Promote a safe, cooperative, and professional health care environment to ensure optimum patient care.
- Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including but not limited to absenteeism, cellular telephone usage, dress code and rules of conduct.
- Makes customer service a priority, treating customers (patients, visitors and co-workers) in a professional manner exercising courtesy and tact. Effectively communicates with patients and others about RUMC services in their area(s) of expertise or responsibility and ensures that concerns or issues reach the right person(s) in RUMC in a timely fashion.
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures.
- Participates in alteration and renovation work related to electrical systems.
- Reads blueprints.
- Monitors automatic control systems and alarm systems.
- Uses hand and power tools, ladders and scaffolding.
- Reads and monitors volt meter and amp meter.
- Maintains all electrical motor control equipment in the hospital.
- Is expected to perform duties without constant supervision.
- Performs all related duties as assigned.
- Completes assigned work orders.
- Must clean their work areas at the end of each workday.
- Confirm required risk assessments and protective measures are in place and are in place and are following our ceiling removal policy, shut down procedures
Qualifications:
Education Required – High School diploma or Vocational School training. Courses in blueprint reading, mechanical drawing or related preferred.
License(s) Required – None
Experience/Skills Required – At least two (2) years as Electrician mechanic performing in alteration and renovation work. Two (2) years experience to qualify.
Attend THE JOINT COMMISSION annual facility-wide training, departmental in-service training and pertinent safety training.
3–5 years of relevant experience required .
Experience with: Low-voltage systems (nurse call, basic fire alarm, overhead paging) and 120/208V and 277/480V systems
Monday - Friday, weekends as needed 7:30a - 3:30p
Salary Range: $36.30/hr - $37.14/hr
