POSITION DESCRIPTION: Adjunct Instructor, Center for Assistive Rehabilitative Technology (CART) program, located at the Hiram G. Andrews Center, Johnstown, PA; in affiliation with Department of Counseling and Behavioral Health, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Pittsburgh.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Center for Assistive Rehabilitative Technology (CART) program, located at the Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center (HGAC) through hands-on, clinical work to meet complex counseling and cognitive rehabilitation needs of a specialized client population.
- Conduct assistive technology and occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized intervention plans.
- Coordinate assistive technology services and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, vocational rehabilitation professionals, and external partners.
- Use professional judgement and discretion to administer individualized client care, many with cognitive and other disabilities.
- Collaborate with CART Program Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
- Minimum of 10 years of professional clinical experience.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and assistive technology services.
- Experience working with vocational rehabilitation programs or the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
- Be available to work 5-10 hours/week as needed..
- Have a valid Driver's license and able to travel throughout the state of PA.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess the ability to demonstrate hands-on, clinical assistive rehabilitative care.
- Detect, observe, and assess client psychomotor skills.
This is an in-person position located at the Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center (CTI at HGAC) in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
The position is primarily sedentary with on-site clinical service delivery and requires the ability to navigate a large campus facility.
Travel is required to conduct assistive technology evaluations, home assessments, worksite accommodations, or training sessions at off-site locations.
