About the Role
The ideal candidate for a lab technician role in the cannabis industry will have a degree in chemistry and hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in cannabis testing willing to work long hours. Attention to detail, knowledge of quality control and ability to adhere to SOPs are all crucial. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a passion for the cannabis industry are also important for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties will be Filling and Formulation but may be asked to perform a variety of lab processes, which can include but are not limited to various aspects of: Filling, Formulating, solventless extraction.
Cleaning and preventive maintenance of all equipment, tools, and work areas
Escalate any technical issues related to processes or equipment to their Supervisor
Maintain safe and efficient production, working with delicate and expensive equipment
Maintain accurate records for all production phase steps, using paper and electronic logs, METRC/Biotrack track-and-trace, and Odoo ERP
Meet or exceed production goals with few to no errors
Package products as needed for production

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to lift more than 40 pounds throughout the workday.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Preferred Skills
2+ years of experience in a laboratory or production environment.
Experience with filling, formulation, extraction, or cannabis production processes.
Familiarity with METRC, BioTrack, Odoo ERP, or similar inventory and production tracking systems.

Location: Oakland, CA
Reports To: Jesse Lewis, Lab Production Manager
On-Site Requirements: 5 days per week in the lab
Compensation: $27.50 to $32.50, per hour
