Graphic Designer (Junior-Mid Level)
Scope: Freelance
Location: Boston/Back Bay
Hybrid Expectation: 1 day per week on-site (2 would be great!), remainder remote
Duration: Through end of year with potential to extend
Hours per week: 25-30 (Schedule TBD)
Pay Range: $35-$40 per hour
Our client, a reputable consulting firm, is seeking a junior to mid-level Graphic Designer to support their Marketing and Business Development team. This hybrid role is based in the Boston area, with an expectation of 1-2 days onsite per week.
This opportunity is ideal for an early-career designer who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within a professional services environment. The role offers hands-on experience across a variety of branded deliverables and exposure to modern, AI-assisted design tools. You'll work on digital, print, presentation and motion projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute branded marketing materials across digital, print, and presentation formats
- Design presentations, brochures, social media assets, web graphics, and event materials
- Ensure brand consistency by applying and maintaining templates, assets, and guidelines
- Partner closely with marketing and internal stakeholders to meet timelines and deliverables
- Prepare production-ready files and coordinate with external vendors as needed
- Support light video and multimedia design projects
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of graphic design experience with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong PowerPoint design skills
- Experience with Figma
- Balanced skill set across conceptual design and digital production (50/50 split)
- Familiarity with multimedia design, including tools such as After Effects
- Experience preparing files for print and production workflows
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to motion design and video editing
- Familiarity with AI design tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Copilot)
- Experience in a professional services or corporate environment
Soft Skills
- Collaborative and communicative; enjoys brainstorming and team engagement
- Highly adaptable and able to pivot quickly as priorities shift
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and consistency
- Positive attitude and strong growth mindset
