Healthcare Support Worker – Day Surgery /Ambulatory Care Unit (Ref: 251211)

Fixed Term for 6 months

Full time 36 hours per week

Band 3 - Salary Range £29,103 - £31,409 per annum (pro rata)

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,578 per annum (pro rata)

Day Surgery Unit / Ambulatory Care Unit are busy surgical and long term care condition units that admits both adults and children that require surgery or biological / ambulatory care treatment.

We strive to provide our patients with a patient centred approach to their care on an individual basis which includes a holistic methodology. The care provided is to an excellent standard in an extremely busy environment that is both challenging and rewarding. You will learn many new skills and enable patients to have the best possible standard of care.

You will have experience of working within a caring environment/role, together with effective written and verbal communication skills, numeracy and an interest in developing your skills in preventing healthcare associated infections (HAI) and ordering local stores.

This contract is for a fixed-term for 6 months. The reason for the fixed-term contract is to allow for ongoing workforce planning and review of establishment.
