Logistics Supervisor

Akkodis is seeking Logistics Supervisor for a Contract job with a client in Carson, CA 90746. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Repairs Logistics or Supply Chain Supervisor with experience in a manufacturing or aerospace repair environment, capable of leading warehouse and logistics operations while driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Rate Range: $33/hour to $35/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Key traits include

• Proven team leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong background in shipping, receiving, stockroom, inventory, and planning operations
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and inventory management
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
• Ability to improve turnaround time (TAT), quality, cost, and productivity
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
• Aerospace or FAA Part 145 repair station experience is a significant advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom, or Planning work centers
• Lead and manage direct reports to meet customer and operational requirements
• Ensure schedule, quality, cost, turnaround time, and safety goals are achieved
• Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions when performance targets are not met
• Drive quality, productivity, and delivery performance improvements
• Manage cycle counts and inventory activities in the repair station stockroom
• Assist with forecasting parts requirements and safety stock levels

Education

• Bachelor's degree or
• Equivalent professional knowledge with substantial manufacturing experience

Experience

• 3–5+ years of supervisory experience, or
• At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in logistics, materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain
