Endeavor Health (formerly NorthShore University HealthSystem, Swedish Hospital, Northwest Community Hospital and Edward-Elmhurst Health System) Orthopaedic & Spine Institute is seeking a certified athletic trainer for an outreach position. Endeavor Health is partnered with SportsCare USA, Inc. for sports medicine outreach services. This position and the associated salary and benefits will be provided through SportsCare USA, Inc. in partnership with Endeavor Health.

SportsCare's primary focus is driving business to orthopedics and sports medicine. However, SportsCare has developed programs and outreach strategies for a variety of service lines, including: emergency services, pediatrics, cardiology, women's services, respiratory, wellness centers and hospital foundations.
Job Summary
Provide on-site outreach athletic training services for SportsCare and Endeavor Health at the local affiliated high school district in the North Suburbs of Chicago. The position is a 12-month position with flexible summers and will average forty (40) hours per week. The weekly job schedule will be set in collaboration with the High School Athletic Director and the Head Athletic Trainer.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing athletic training services for home practices and games within the designated school year for all freshman, JV, and varsity athletic teams at the contracted school
- Providing athletic training services for home and away varsity football games
- Provides athletic training services during the summer months for summer camps hosted by the school only for incoming or current students at the designated high school as assigned by the head athletic trainer or athletic director
- Provide injury evaluations, rehabilitation, and treatment to injured athletes at the contracted school
- Maintain appropriate medical records for all injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation programs in compliance with district policy
- Collaborates with other healthcare providers, including Endeavor Health physicians, to ensure the highest quality care is provided to athletes
- Assist district employed athletic trainers in the overall administration of athletic training services at assigned High School, including, but not limited to supply inventory, ordering supplies, etc.
- Attends a monthly Endeavor Health Sports Medicine meeting
- Maintains proper certification and state licensure to practice
Qualifications
Mandatory
- Education: Must have graduated from a CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Program with a degree in Athletic Training.
- Certification: Current certification through NATABOC and current state requirements.
- Licensure: Must have current Illinois Athletic Training License or be eligible for an Illinois Athletic Training License.
- Experience: All levels of experience are welcome to apply, including new graduates.
Salary
- Commensurate with experience.
