File Clerk/ Legal Assistant/ Secretary

We are seeking responsible, organized, and proactive individuals to join our team as File Clerks/ Legal Assistants/ Secretaries. (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients & provide necessary paperwork
  • Answer & direct phone calls
  • Collect & deliver mail
  • Confirm case statuses
  • Compose & edit correspondence
  • Schedule appointments
  • File documents & maintain binders / file room
  • Assist with binder preparation for proceedings
  • Initiate & monitor medical & billing records/requests
  • Order certified copies from court
  • Order abstracts of judgment
  • Monitor orders & citations to ensure timely signatures
  • Review filings to ensure our file is up to date
  • Operate & troubleshoot office equipment as needed
  • Trial & litigation support

• Minimum of 2-4 years' experience as a File Clerk/ Legal Assistant/ Secretary in a law firm setting

• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document formatting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
