Position Highlights

A Research Data Support Specialist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Koenraad Van Doorslaer to work in the field of regenerative medicine and transplantation immunology. The successful candidate will perform pluripotent stem cell and genetic manipulation experiments in a collaborative lab environment. Other responsibilities will include managing lab orders and coordinating schedules with other lab members to perform routine maintenance tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine scientific data collection and processing for assigned research projects, applying established methods to record and organize results for the PI.
  • Record information and maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and data to assist with planning and analyzing results for presentation purposes.
  • Provide data to Pl for use in grant submissions and publications.
  • Compiles data and generates computerized statistical data for analytical purposes using software packages; makes preliminary analyses and assists researchers in interpreting the data.
  • Acquires specialized parts, materials, equipment, and services for laboratory operations and manages inventory.
  • Maintain bookkeeping records.
  • Organizational and time management skills are essential to balance both laboratory maintenance duties and experimental research projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
