Senior AI Product Manager (Investment Banking & Capital Markets)
TWG Global AI
As an AI Product Manager on the AI Solutions Development and Product Team, you’ll sit at the intersection of capital markets and AI, partnering with investment banks, private equity firms, and hedge funds to identify high-impact opportunities where AI can accelerate deal execution, sharpen valuation and diligence, strengthen portfolio and risk decisions, and unlock new sources of alpha and revenue — from the deal team and the trading desk to the investment committee and the back office, and across M&A advisory, capital raising, research, and fund operations.
You’ll work across a unique landscape: TWG Global’s own financial services businesses, spanning investment management, securities, and corporate lending, serve as both partners and proving grounds for AI innovation, while our solutions extend well beyond our owned portfolio to serve bulge-bracket and boutique banks, sponsors, and institutional investors. This gives you a rare combination of direct access to regulated, high-stakes deal environments and the opportunity to scale what works across the broader capital markets ecosystem.
Your primary responsibility will be translating the real-world needs of investment bankers, deal teams, research analysts, portfolio managers, and the operational functions that support them including diligence, compliance, and fund administration, into AI-powered products that actually get used. You’ll own the product lifecycle from discovery through delivery, applying a product operating model that prioritizes user adoption, measurable outcomes, and design excellence.
This role goes well beyond roadmap management. You’ll need to understand both the analytical core of the work discounted cash flow, LBO and merger modeling, comparable companies and precedent transactions analysis, pro forma and accretion/dilution, and the diligence and execution process — and the commercial context in which it happens, from origination and pitch development to live deal execution and capital formation. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with data scientists and engineers to turn those inputs into scalable, production-grade AI solutions, and drive integration of advanced AI capabilities such as document and filing intelligence (NLP over filings, contracts, and CIMs), financial model automation, time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and generative document generation into our capital markets product suite.
You’ll be the connective tissue between our technical teams and our investment banking, private equity, and hedge fund partners — internal and external — ensuring that what we build is grounded in how these organizations actually originate, evaluate, execute, and manage transactions. This is an onsite position based in our New York City office.
What you’ll do:
• Own the product vision and roadmap for AI solutions serving investment banks, private equity firms, and hedge funds — including TWG’s own portfolio companies and external institutional clients — spanning the analytical workflows that drive deals (valuation, financial modeling, diligence, and research) and the commercial and operational functions around them (origination, pitch and materials development, compliance, and fund operations).
• Build working relationships with the practitioners who use our products — analysts, associates, and vice presidents on deal and investment teams, both within TWG and at our banking, private equity, and hedge fund clients — partnering with them throughout the product development process to understand their day-to-day workflows, gather requirements, validate prototypes, and turn their feedback into product improvements.
• Drive end-to-end product development from discovery and requirements through design, build, and launch, ensuring solutions are built for real-world adoption inside fast-moving deal teams and highly regulated environments, not just technical capability.
• Lead the integration of AI technologies — including document and filing intelligence, financial model automation, time series forecasting, anomaly detection, conversational AI, and generative document generation — into the capital markets product suite, ensuring components are modular, scalable, and interoperable.
• Work across data science, engineering, design, and business development teams to deliver robust, high-quality AI solutions aligned with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and partner expectations.
• Define and track success metrics tied to user engagement and business outcomes —including deal-team KPIs such as model build and diligence cycle time, analyst hours saved per engagement, and pitch and materials turnaround, and investment KPIs such as idea-to-decision speed, screening coverage, and research throughput — using data to continuously improve product-market fit across analytical and commercial verticals.
• Ensure responsible AI practices across all capital markets AI products, including handling of material non-public information (MNPI) and information barriers, client and counterparty data privacy, model risk management, algorithmic transparency, and compliance with financial regulatory frameworks (SEC, FINRA, GLBA, SOX).
• Manage product budgets and development timelines, ensuring investments align with revenue goals and deliver measurable ROI for both TWG and our investment banking, private equity, and hedge fund partners.
Requirements
• Strong academic record with a bachelor’s degree and at least 2–3 years of work experience, or an MBA with relevant experience.
• Significant investment banking or related experience required, with direct experience on M&A, equity and debt financing transactions.
• Strong financial modeling skills required, including financial valuation experience and working knowledge of DCF, LBO, merger modeling, comparable companies, and precedent transactions analysis.
• Experience with due-diligence and transaction execution processes, including preparing and maintaining industry and company presentations, benchmarking materials, and other process documents.
• Comfort analyzing accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings, financial projections, and models to inform financial and economic judgments.
• Genuine interest in AI and its application to capital markets, and the aptitude to learn quickly — you do not need to have built AI products before, but you should be technologically adept, excited to translate banking workflows into AI-powered tools, and to work closely with data scientists and engineers.
• Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with members across multiple groups and regions, building relationships with a wide range of people and acting as a point of contact.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong work ethic, motivation, and attention to detail.
• Personal integrity, initiative, and leadership qualities, with the ability to develop into a senior investment banking or product professional.
• Awareness of the regulatory and confidentiality environment in which deal teams operate, including the handling of material non-public information (MNPI) and information barriers, is a plus
