CommQuest seeks a Full-time Administrative Engagement Specialist to work at our Psychiatric Outpatient office located in Downtown Canton, OH. The Administrative Engagement Specialist serves as the first point of contact for clients. This role is responsible for ensuring a smooth check-in process, managing client registration, collecting payments, and providing timely updates. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate closely with the Finance Enrollment Specialist and other staff to maintain accurate records and ensure a high-quality client experience. With sustainability as a core value of the agency, the Administrative Engagement Specialist plays a vital part in supporting the organization's business sustainability.

What you'll do

  • Greet clients warmly and ensure a welcoming environment while maintaining an organized and efficient check-in process, minimizing wait times.
  • Perform eligibility checks on patient insurance coverage prior to visit or at time of visit.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of check-in and post payments to patient account.
  • Report any discrepancies to finance enrollment team concerning payments posted
  • Inform clients about their financial responsibilities, upcoming appointments, and required documentation.
  • Work closely with the Finance Enrollment Specialist to ensure clients are informed about financial assistance and enrollment procedures.
  • Accurately input and update client information in the EHR system.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and organizational policies regarding client privacy and administrative operations.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to stay informed about procedural updates.
  • All other duties as assigned

Schedule

The work schedule is primarily between Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (subject to change based on provider/department needs).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Intermediate computer navigation skills are required for extensive computer usage with MS Office
  • Must have the ability to manage a multi-line phone system maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor in stressful situations
  • Previous experience with NextGen and/or other Electronic Health Records database, Charge Verification, Charge Entry, and/or Billing is highly preferred
