Accendero Software, Inc. is seeking a paid Software Engineering Intern either working remotely, or at their Idaho Falls, ID location. Accendero Software, Inc. works with state of the art start-ups and companies to help build the next generation of scientific and operational software infrastructure.

Accendero Software’s SDE Intern position is a paid, part time position designed with the realities of finalizing a degree in mind. Hours are flexible through the calendar week and can be constructed in a way to match the realities of classes, finals, and other academic concerns. The term of the internship will last from Q3 to Q4 of 2026 and will not exceed 20 weeks. Accendero Software evaluates most entry level, professional full-time positions from candidates in our internships.

Because of the reality of our internships, we will only be considering individuals who’s degrees will finalize during the 2026 calendar year (i.e. seniors or final year master’s students). The Internship

  • 20 week paid part-time internship.
  • Fully remote. We will ship you a business laptop.
  • Working with team members to assist in developing features, test cases, and learning best practices.
  • Working with senior engineers to ensure all code is tested and prepared in a timely manner.
  • Gaining the experience necessary to transition into a professional software engineering role.

Who You Are

  • You have the legal ability to work in the United States.
  • A student seeking your B.S. or M.S. in software engineering and graduating in 2026 OR a hobbyist engineer with a significant body of work available for review in git or similar.
  • Some experience in scripting, markup, and/or programing.
  • Some experience in a popular language like JavaScript, Python, or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Pluses

  • Experience with AWS.
  • Experience with git.
  • Experience within a development environment interacting with regulatory schemas such as GxP or ISO.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational database structures or non-relational database structures like MongoDB.
  • Experience with various other web or statistical languages (R, Java, etc.).
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • While this position can be fully remote, the ability to occasionally visit the office is considered preferable.
