Most recruiters spend their days filling roles nobody gets excited about. You'll be different. At JLB, we place talent with professional sports teams and the technology companies transforming how sport is played, watched, and analyzed. From performance analytics and wearables to fan engagement and ticketing tech.

You'll work side by side with our founder in our Austin office, learning the craft of search hands-on. Real responsibility from week one, with direct mentorship rather than a training manual.

What you'll do

You'll own the early stages of the recruiting process and grow into running searches end to end: sourcing talent across engineering, product, data, and commercial roles in the sports world; running first-round screening calls; managing candidate pipelines; writing outreach that people actually reply to; and joining client calls to learn how searches are scoped, pitched, and closed.

What we're looking for

You don't need recruiting experience — we'll teach you the trade. You're a strong fit if you:

- Have 0–2 years of experience in recruiting, sales, or customer-facing work, or you're a recent grad hungry to prove yourself

- Are a natural communicator, comfortable picking up the phone and talking to strangers

- Are organized and reliable — you follow through, every time

- Have a genuine interest in sports, sports business, or sports technology

- Want to be in the office, learning fast
