JOB SUMMARY

The Innovation Engineer supports the development and realization of BNBuilders innovation vision. In addition, this role works with the Innovation team to identify and remove constraints to make progress and enhance operations.

SALARY RANGE:$75,000 - $110,000 annually

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design Coordination
• • Plan and deliver 3D coordination analysis with design consultants.
• Model-Based Quantity Take-Off
• • Plan and produce 3D models for system quantity takeoff.
  • Report quantities from 3D models.
  • Update models as needed.
• 3D Construction Coordination
• • Manage and produce deliverables for the 3D Construction Coordination process.
  • Establish and coach Construction Coordination process.
• Self-Perform Drywall & Metal Stud 3D Modeling and 2D Shop Drawing Production
• • Produce and update fabrication level of detail models of metal framing for coordination.
  • Produce dimensioned shop drawings of metal framing.
• Production Planning
• • Document phase schedules.
  • Facilitate study of phase schedules.
  • Visualize phase schedules using 3D models.
• Business Development
• • Facilitate pursuit production planning.
  • Produce 3D models.
  • Produce renderings of models.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree required.
• 2 years minimum of design documentation experience.
• Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions with emphasis on project sheet setup.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
• Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethics as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standards of conduct from self and others.
• Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.
• Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIM.
• Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development; moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site; climbing ladders and temporary stairways; conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction. Conduct jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion. Conduct jobsite walks to identify and eliminate safety hazards.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
