ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our Womenswear team. This role provides hands-on experience in all stages of the design process from concept development to sample production offering a unique opportunity to learn within a fast-paced fashion environment. This is an on-site, hybrid-based role based in Los Angeles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the design team in developing monthly collections, including sketches, CADs, and color palettes.
  • Own the fabric sourcing process — identify, contact, and liaise with suppliers to request swatches, evaluate quality, and manage the material library.
  • Set up and maintain detailed tech packs (including measurements, construction details, trims, and materials) for handoff to production.
  • Support in fit sessions and sample reviews, documenting feedback and ensuring changes are clearly communicated.
  • Collaborate with the production and merchandising teams to ensure design integrity and timelines are maintained.
  • Maintain and organize sample racks, fabric archives, and design documentation.

NOTE

  • This role is in-office / hybrid, full-time position with expected work hours of 40 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 - 2 years of prior work experience in fashion design
  • You are on top of fashion trends
  • Master-level talent in adobe suite (photoshop/illustrator)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills

WHO YOU ARE

  • Hold fashion design bachelors degree from 4-year university
  • Living in LA, within transportation distance to our office in DTLA
  • You live and breathe fashion, both inside and out of work. We are an obsessed group. Everyone comes to the office well-dressed.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and fabrics.

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly pay: $22-$24/hr based on experience & portfolio
