Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.
Job Summary
The Marketing and Communications Administrative Assistant I provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Office of Marketing and Communications. This position serves as a primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, vendors, and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient office operations and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include performing a variety of administrative duties, coordinating communications, maintaining records and files, scheduling meetings, assisting with event planning and coordination, and supporting departmental projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
General Office Duties: Answering phones, greeting visitors, managing mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.
Document Preparation: Creating, proofreading, and editing correspondence, reports, and other documents.
Record Keeping: Maintaining files, databases, and records related to administrative, financial, or academic matters.
Calendar Management: Scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for staff.
Event Coordination: Assisting with the planning and execution of events, such as conferences, workshops, or social gatherings.
Financial Tasks: Processing invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders; assisting with budget reconciliations.
Communication and Liaison: Internal and External Communication: Serving as a point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
Disseminating Information: Communicating important information and updates to relevant parties.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manger.
Required Qualifications
- Associate¿s degree in business administration or related field
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in an office environment.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
- 1 year of experience with a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- 1 year of experience in customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor¿s degree
- 2 years of experience in an office environment.
