The Flight Test Project Engineer reports to Palmdale ADP Flight Test management and serves as the central liaison for all flight‑test logistics, overseeing supply‑chain and procurement coordination, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring timely acquisition of hardware and consumables. This role manages preventive‑maintenance and calibration of flight‑test facilities, equipment, and ground‑support assets, while coordinating back‑shop machining, refurbishment, and lab‑support projects to meet test schedules. The engineer maintains configuration‑management records, prepares status reports, enforces safety and compliance standards, and collaborates with engineers, and external vendors to resolve issues quickly and keep flight‑test programs on‑track.

Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with supply‑chain and procurement processes for aerospace hardware and consumables.
- Knowledge of preventive‑maintenance, calibration, and certification of flight‑test facilities and ground‑support equipment.
- Familiarity with back‑shop machining, refurbishment, and lab‑support project coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data‑analysis tools; exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Experience preparing status and compliance reports.
- Strong problem‑solving aptitude; proven track record of collaborating with engineers, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Understanding of safety and compliance regulations relevant to flight‑test programs (e.g., OSHA, FAA, DoD).
- Ability to travel occasionally to test sites or vendor facilities.
