ABOUT THE ROLE

Founded in 2000, Mighty Engine is an award-winning agency with a small but mighty team focused on advancing life-saving, community-building causes.

We are looking for a Video & Social Media Specialist to support video editing, content creation, social media marketing and paid advertising for mission-driven client campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who is skilled in editing video content, preparing assets for multiple platforms, supporting social media campaigns and helping track performance.

The right person is creative, detail-oriented, technically skilled and comfortable working on projects that center public health, education, equity, nonprofits, social justice and community-centered storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Video & Social Media Specialist will support video post-production, social media marketing and digital campaign implementation. Responsibilities may include:

  • Editing short-form and long-form video content for campaigns, websites, events, social media and paid advertising
  • Creating reels, cutdowns, testimonials, recaps, promotional videos and campaign assets
  • Performing color correction, audio cleanup, captioning, subtitles, lower thirds and on-screen text
  • Preparing video files in multiple formats and specs for social media, websites, presentations, paid ads and partner toolkits
  • Organizing footage, project files, selects, transcripts, graphics, music and final exports
  • Incorporating client and internal feedback accurately and efficiently
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of social media marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Helping set up, monitor and optimize paid campaigns across platforms such as Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn or other digital channels
  • Coordinating ad creative, copy, audiences, placements, budgets and campaign timelines
  • Preparing campaign assets for launch, including video cutdowns, static graphics, captions and platform-specific versions
  • Tracking campaign performance and helping prepare client reports
  • Summarizing metrics such as reach, impressions, video views, engagement, clicks, click-through rates and cost-per-result
  • Supporting organic social media content planning, scheduling and reporting when needed
  • Assisting with video shoot planning and onsite production support as needed
  • Collaborating with project managers, strategists, designers, writers, production teams and clients

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for someone who brings strong creative judgment, technical skill, organization and follow-through. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional experience in video editing, social media marketing, digital advertising or digital content creation
  • Strong video editing skills and experience producing polished content for multiple platforms
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience with color correction, audio cleanup, captions and export settings
  • Understanding of social media platforms, paid advertising and campaign performance metrics
  • Experience preparing video content for social media, websites, presentations and paid advertising
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Motion graphics skills and experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, file versions and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback and solve problems creatively
  • Comfort working with clients, community partners and production teams
  • Interest in public health, education, equity, civic engagement, nonprofits and community-centered communications

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager, YouTube advertising, LinkedIn Campaign Manager or other paid media platforms
  • Experience with social media scheduling and reporting tools
  • Experience with photography, basic camera operation or field production
  • Experience creating content for public health, education, advocacy, nonprofit or social impact campaigns
  • Experience working with social justice, educational justice or community-based organizations in Philadelphia, Atlanta or similar urban communities
  • Basic design skills and familiarity with Canva and, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
