Trudeau Kane, PLLC is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, tax planning, or related private client work. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who wants meaningful client contact, direct access to experienced mentors, and exposure to advanced estate, tax, business succession, asset protection, and wealth planning matters.
The firm is newly formed, but the practice is not new. Trudeau Kane is a boutique law firm focused on estate planning, estate and trust administration, taxation, and business planning, built by 2 established, board-certified attorneys with long-standing client relationships and deep roots in the Northeast Florida estate planning and tax community. The firm’s attorneys serve as trusted advisors to high-net-worth families and business owners, pairing deep technical expertise with a practical, solutions-oriented approach to deliver sophisticated, tailored counsel that preserves wealth and supports legacy goals. About the Role
You will support high-net-worth individuals, business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, families, fiduciaries, and charitable organizations with estate planning, probate and trust administration, tax-related planning, business succession, asset protection, charitable giving, and related private client matters.
The strongest candidate will bring sound judgment, strong drafting ability, excellent communication skills, and a sincere interest in serving clients with professionalism, discretion, and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and related planning matters
- Draft, revise, and finalize wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related estate planning documents
- Assist with wealth transfer, asset protection, charitable planning, business succession, and tax-sensitive planning strategies
- Support probate and trust administration matters, including fiduciary guidance, beneficiary communication, filings, deadlines, and administration strategy
- Participate in client consultations and help translate complex legal and tax concepts into clear, practical guidance
- Support planning for business owners, closely held businesses, family entities, high-net-worth individuals, and charitable organizations
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver accurate, responsive, and high-quality client service
- Represent clients in probate court and related proceedings when necessary
- Contribute to firm growth through strong client service, professional relationships, and business development efforts
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school required
- Active member of The Florida Bar in good standing required
- 3+ years of estate planning, probate, trust administration, tax planning, or related private client experience required
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning strongly preferred
- Experience serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, or closely held business clients preferred
- Strong understanding of estate planning, probate, trust administration, asset protection, and tax-sensitive planning
- Experience with federal estate and gift tax returns preferred
- Familiarity with business entity formation, charitable giving, and succession planning preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Professional maturity, sound judgment, discretion, and a client-first mindset
- Portable book of business welcomed, but not required

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience
- Productivity-based bonus that can be a significant and meaningful portion of total compensation
- No origination requirement; origination and business development are recognized in compensation
