Principal Product Marketing Manager

Intuit

Overview

Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is dedicated to delivering a portfolio of solutions that help businesses thrive at every stage of growth. Within the Services team for our products, the Money team helps businesses get paid, manage complex billing workflows, and access the financing they need to operate and scale — resulting in industry-leading cash flow and operational efficiency benefits.

The Global U.S. Marketing team is seeking a Principal Product Marketing Leader to drive growth of our Payments business with mid-market customers. Mid-market businesses — managing higher transaction volumes, multi-entity operations, and more sophisticated AR/AP needs — represent a significant growth opportunity for QuickBooks Payments. This role will define how we show up for this segment: from positioning and GTM strategy to cross-functional alignment and channel execution.

This is a high-visibility role requiring strong strategic problem-solving, the ability to influence senior stakeholders across product, sales, and finance, and a track record of driving results in complex, matrixed environments. The role is an individual contributor reporting to the PMM Leader on QB Payments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead segment strategy: Define and drive the GTM strategy for QuickBooks Payments in the mid-market segment, including positioning, segmentation, messaging, and competitive differentiation.
  • Drive attach and revenue growth: Partner with Sales, Product, Risk, Pricing, and Finance to identify and execute monetization strategies, pricing models, and expansion plays that scale revenue within the mid-market segment.
  • Develop channel and partnership strategy: Partner with GTM channels and adjacent marketing partner teams to identify co-innovation and channel opportunities — including reseller, referral, and integration partnerships — that unlock net-new distribution for mid-market customers.
  • Uncover growth opportunities: Conduct deep dives into mid-market customer journeys and product experiences to surface unmet needs and design messaging and GTM motions that accelerate Payments adoption and retention.
  • Stakeholder communication: Serve as the connective tissue between the Payments business and broader GBSG & Intuit stakeholders, ensuring alignment on segment strategy, progress against goals, and key decisions.
  • Generate insights and build the business case: Develop research and testing plans; analyze business data from multiple sources to produce insights, inform investment decisions, and shape compelling narratives for executive audiences.
  • Drive roadmap influence and GTM execution: Leverage customer insights, data, and business acumen to influence the product roadmap at any stage of the lifecycle and execute high-impact GTM plans in partnership with product and channel teams.
  • Contribute to long-range planning: Lead mid-market Payments input into 3-year strategic planning, making decisions that optimize for customer value and the broader Intuit portfolio.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-growth, complex environments with demonstrated success marketing to or selling into mid-market customers.

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, strategy & business operations, management consulting, or strategic roles within high-growth environments.
  • Mid-market or enterprise Payments / Merchant Services experience strongly preferred; deep understanding of mid-market AR/AP workflows, payment acceptance complexity, and buyer dynamics is a plus.
  • Segment expertise: Experience developing go-to-market strategies for mid-market customer segments, including understanding of longer sales cycles, multi-stakeholder buying processes, and integration-driven adoption patterns.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, build trust, and drive outcomes in a matrixed organization.
  • Strategic thinking: Strong capability to translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives with clear ownership, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Problem Solving: Exceptional critical thinking and data-driven decision making; comfort working with ambiguous or incomplete data.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of payment systems, money movement, and mid-market financial operations (ERP integrations, multi-entity billing, etc.) is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation and storytelling skills; comfortable presenting at executive business reviews and navigating senior stakeholder dynamics.
  • Tableau/Qlik dashboard skills (i.e., ability to self-serve on data needs for ad hoc analyses) are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred. Or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with mid-market businesses and understanding of their operational complexity is strongly preferred.
