Center Aide (Union) Location: 2151 N McCord, Toledo, OH 43615
Schedule: Monday - Thursday (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Weekly Hours: 20 hours per week (August - June)
Employment Type: Seasonal Part-Time
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.61 per hour, based on education
Position Overview: Support classroom staff in providing a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate learning environment within early childhood programs. Assist with daily classroom activities, meal service, and basic program operations while ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, licensing requirements, and agency policies.

Education
High school diploma or GED
Experience
Early childhood development or related childcare experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Classroom Duties
- Organize, sanitize and store classroom equipment and supplies.
- Assist in coordinating and implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Assist with educational home visits.
- Assist with record keeping duties and preparing and maintaining program materials.
- Assist in enforcing self-care activities and enforcing safety rules and procedures.
- Set up and take down classroom and lunch equipment.
- Ensure dishes, trays and food service areas are cleaned daily.
Nutrition Aide/Janitor Duties
- Maintain accurate meal count; prepare meals and snacks.
- Pick up catered lunches; monitor food temperature; smell and taste food before serving.
- Distribute meals and snacks to individual classrooms.
- Restock groceries and supplies.
- Arrange tables and classroom equipment; clean and sanitize toys.
As a condition of employment the following are additional requirements:
- Initial and periodic physical exams required.
- Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
- Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
