Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to: Run knocking gun and be qualified in proper humane handling; needs to make sure that the proper procedures are followed at all times. Must be able to identify if an animal has any sensibility immediately following knocking.

Requirements

Will need to attend monthly training sessions and meet minimum expectations of the training sessions.
Have the knowledge of maintaining the knocking gun
Audit the knocking gun
Accuracy in operating the Head Restraining
Accuracy in the knocking position
Accuracy on the amount of cattle coming into the knocking box
Accuracy when opening the knocking box gate to the shacklers
When the cattle are knocked, the Knocker needs to keep an eye on the stunned animal for sensibility; if signs of sensibility are shown, the employee Touch of the Eye needs to be notified right away.
The knocker needs to sound the buzzer to alert maintenance if the landing hoist is malfunctioning or jammed.
Must be able to work in an extremely hot environment in an enclosed space surrounded by heavy working machinery
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to work extended hours and some Saturdays
