Position Summary

The Director of Global Leisure Sales is responsible for developing and executing the global leisure travel trade strategy for Limelight Hotels, driving revenue growth through consortia, luxury travel agencies, tour operators, and wholesale partnerships. This role serves as the primary sales leader for the leisure segment, building and maintaining strategic relationships across key domestic and international markets. Working within Aspen Hospitality's broader commercial organization, the Director collaborates closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to maximize portfolio performance. The position also supports portfolio-wide alignment by sharing market intelligence and coordinating key trade relationships across Aspen Hospitality brands. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $114,000 plus sales incentive plan. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the annual global leisure sales strategy, including channel segmentation, production goals, and investment allocation
  • Identify new market opportunities and emerging trends to drive revenue growth and expand market share
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with luxury travel consortia, agencies, tour operators, and wholesale partners
  • Lead targeted business development initiatives to increase production from strategic leisure travel accounts
  • Represent the Limelight Hotel Collection at industry events, trade shows, sales missions, and roadshows
  • Plan and execute familiarization trips, educational programs, and property experiences for travel advisors and partners
  • Partner with property-level sales teams to ensure consistent execution of brand and segment strategies
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align trade initiatives with brand campaigns, storytelling, and new property launches
  • Coordinate with commercial teams across Aspen Hospitality brands to leverage shared account opportunities and market intelligence
  • Monitor account performance through regular production reviews, business planning, and relationship management activities
  • Prepare and present reports on leisure segment performance, market trends, and revenue opportunities
  • Serve as a cross-functional liaison to ensure trade partner expectations are aligned with the guest experience
  • Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leisure travel trade sales experience, including at least 4 years in a senior-level or director-level role
  • Experience managing multi-property or portfolio-level leisure sales within luxury, lifestyle, resort, or destination-driven hospitality brands preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of global leisure travel trade distribution channels and partnership models
  • Established relationships with luxury travel consortia, agency networks, tour operators, and wholesale partners
  • Proven ability to generate revenue growth through strategic account development and relationship management
  • Strong understanding of hospitality sales metrics, forecasting, and commercial performance drivers
  • Knowledge of RevPAR contribution, rate structures, and leisure segment demand dynamics
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build credibility and influence with external partners and senior leadership
  • Strong business development and consultative sales skills
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and market analysis capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects across a portfolio of properties
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across departments and brands
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time
  • Multilingual proficiency and international market expertise are preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for hospitality, luxury travel, and relationship-driven sales

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions
  • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
