Candidates must reside within a two hour commute to our Kirkland, WA office and be available to train in person at our Kirkland office during the first two weeks of employment. Employees who work virutally will be required to attend periodic in-person trainings and events.

Our growing Family Law Firm in Kirkland is looking to add another experienced legal intake specialist to join our team!

Our legal intake specialist will provide our clients with the ultimate customer service experience. You’ll survey prospective clients and empathize with them on the details of their case, schedule consultations, and support our marketing efforts to ensure we are generating quality leads. We’ll provide the training and resources to help you flourish in your role on a tight-knit and supportive legal team.

Overview

The Legal Intake Specialist fosters the Firm’s relationships with the clients, potential clients, former clients, referral sources, professional contacts, and the general public.

Education & Experience

  • Prior customer service experience in a professional services or business
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with a cloud-based/web-based CRM and case management systems.
  • Knowledge of the legal industry or previous legal experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Outstanding communication skills and strong sense of empathy.

Responsibilities

  • Speak to leads and identifies whether they are qualified leads by asking a series of questions designed to determine the ideal client, target the correct legal issues, gauge urgency/motivation, and determine whether there is potential for a conflict of interest.
  • Respond to each new incoming lead in a timely manner.
  • Schedule qualified leads for initial consultations.
  • Prepare the attorney with all the information needed for a successful conversation/consultation.
  • Assists legal assistant/ office manager with onboarding the client to the firm (opening the file, notifying the legal team).
  • Make referrals to appropriate firms/other sources, shares free resources, or provides other assistance (for leads who are not ideal or who do not schedule a consultation).
  • Stay in contact with leads to keep the door open for future contact.
  • Update the Firm’s databases, reports, marketing sources and/or spreadsheets to track incoming calls, leads qualified, consultations scheduled, referral sources, and other key metrics.

Compensation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour, OT eligible

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8 hour per day during core business hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Employees may select a set schedule working virtually, at the office, or hybrid
  • New Intake Specialists must be available to train in-person at the Kirkland office for the first two weeks of employment
