Principle Duties
- Business Intelligence & Visualization: Develop high-impact dashboards and automated reports for performance monitoring.
- Collaboration & Communication: Translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders and bridge the gap between IT teams and business units.
- Statistical Analysis & Problem Framing: Partner with operational divisions to translate challenges into analytical projects, using statistical validation to quantify trends and outcomes.
- Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to enterprise governance, data quality, and privacy standards (PII) through documentation and lineage mapping.
- Data Extraction & Pipeline Integration: Collaborate on building and cleaning datasets, managing SQL scripts, and maintaining automated data ingestion workflows.
- Prototyping & Innovation: Develop "proof-of-concept" models to evaluate emerging data streams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Business Administration) and 2+ years of experience as a Data or BI Analyst—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with statistical languages (Python/R) and BI platforms (Looker, Power BI, or Tableau).
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear technical documentation and deliver compelling data narratives to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience working with a Business Intelligence platform such as PowerBI, Google Looker, Tableau, or Cognos.
- Direct experience working within a modern cloud infrastructure environment, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including tools like Google BigQuery.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum project management methodologies and tracking platforms like Jira.
- Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) concepts, linear referencing systems, or geospatial data mapping tools.
- Previous experience working within a government agency, public utility, or the transportation sector.
