Customer Service Representative – Precision Manufacturing (On-Site, Hayward CA)

$30–$40/hour, depending on experience

IMT Precision has been building large-scale machined parts, sheet metal fabrications, and welded assemblies in Hayward since 1995. We run some of the largest CNC machines on the West Coast out of a 50,000 sq. ft. facility, we're ISO 9001:2015 certified, and we deliver machining solutions in everything from stainless steel and exotic metals to large weldments and high-vacuum chambers.

We're looking for a full-time, on-site Customer Service Representative to be the day-to-day point of contact for our customers. This isn't a call-center role — you'll work directly with a steady base of repeat industrial and aerospace clients, our sales team, and the shop floor to keep orders moving and customers informed.

What you'll do

• Serve as the contact for customer orders, inquiries, and status updates
• Enter and track orders, and keep customer records accurate and current
• Coordinate with sales, production, and shipping so commitments are met
• Resolve issues quickly and flag recurring problems so we can fix the root cause
• Look for ways to make the customer experience smoother over time

What we're looking for

• 3–5 years in a customer service, inside sales support, or order-management role
• Strong written and verbal communication, and the patience to juggle several customers at once
• Solid attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfortable working on-site as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Familiarity with JobBOSS or a similar ERP/shop-management system
• Experience with CRM tools
