Byron builds Agentic AI software that automates tax preparation for CPA firms. We are an seed-stage, fast-growing company backed by premier Silicon Valley firms, and we are building the go-to-market engine that puts Byron in front of the country's leading accounting firms.

The role

This is a junior sales role and the first line of our pipeline. You will spend your day on the phone and in the inbox, starting conversations with CPA firms, qualifying interest, and getting the right meetings onto our sales team's calendar. It is a high-volume seat built for someone early in their career who wants to learn enterprise sales from the ground up. You will work closely with our go-to-market and business operations team and get a direct view into how a venture-backed software company is built.

What you'll do

  • Run outbound cold calls to CPA firms and tax practices, working from target lists to start new conversations
  • Qualify inbound interest and route it to the right person on the sales team
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings between prospects and our account team, and keep that calendar tight
  • Keep the CRM clean and current so the team always knows the state of every account
  • Partner with the go-to-market and business operations team on outreach campaigns and messaging that lands
  • Learn the tax and accounting space well enough to speak credibly with the people you call

What we're looking for

  • 0 to 2 years of professional experience. This is an early-career role, so a sales track record is a plus but not required
  • Comfort on the phone and the willingness to make a lot of calls. A "no" doesn't rattle you
  • Clear, professional communication, both spoken and written
  • Organized and reliable with the details, since scheduling and CRM hygiene are core to the job
  • Coachable and curious. You ask for feedback and you act on it
  • Able to work in-person at least four days a week in our Ann Arbor office

Nice to have

  • Prior cold-calling, SDR, or B2B sales experience
  • Exposure to SaaS, fintech, or the accounting and tax world
  • Familiarity with CRMs and outbound sales tools
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
