Job Summary

The Medical Imaging Specialist (MIS) is an unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific technical tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. The care provided by the MIS is supervised by a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Working within a team environment and can manage multiple priorities in a timely manner are required skills.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
  • Program Graduate of a patient care program (CNA, MA, or EMT) (preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

  • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
  • MA - Medical Assistant (preferred)
  • Other - Other CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred)
  • Other - Other EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Minimum six (6) months Pediatric experience (preferred)

Skills And Abilities

  • Work within a team environment and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner are required skills.
  • Bilingual Skills Preferred.

Additional Shift Details

  • Shift hours - 0100 to 0930 with some weekends and holidays
