Job Description:GDI Insurance Agency, Inc. is seeking a Senior Account Manager – Employee Benefits who is client-focused, strategic, and eager to be a collaborative team leader full-time in office. Our ideal teammate will possess advanced experience managing complex employee benefits programs and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. Senior Account Managers serve as trusted advisors, leading the strategic direction and ongoing management of the client accounts they support. They play a critical role in client retention, renewal planning, funding analysis, implementation, and service excellence. The Ideal Teammate Will Possess The Following:
  • Active California Life & Health Insurance License — Required
  • Bachelor's degree —Preferred
  • 5–10 years of employee benefits insurance experience — Preferred
  • Strong experience with self-funded, level-funded, group captive, and small group health plans
  • Advanced knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
  • Experience working with TPAs, carriers, stop-loss providers, and benefits administration platforms
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • A dedication to delivering exceptional service to clients and teammates alike. Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage, retain, and grow a complex book of employee benefits business
  • Lead annual renewal strategy, market analysis, plan design evaluation, and client presentations
  • Coordinate with carriers, TPAs, stop-loss providers, pharmacy vendors, and ancillary benefit providers
  • Provide strategic consultation on funding alternatives, cost containment, compliance, and employee engagement
  • Oversee implementation and onboarding of new business and renewal changes
  • Support benefits administration platforms, eligibility, enrollment, and integration coordination
  • Assist clients with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and other compliance-related matters
  • Analyze claims experience, utilization trends, and funding performance
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to support retention and growth initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior account management team members
  • Maintain accurate agency management system records and documentation
