Senior Credit Analyst – Inventory Finance (Dealer Floor Plan)

Our client, Mitsubishi HC Capital America, is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join its growing Inventory Finance platform. If you have direct dealer floor plan underwriting experience and want to play a hands-on role in structuring deals and influencing credit decisions, this is where you want to be. HYBRID ROLE: 3 days/week in office; PREFERRED LOCATIONS: Dallas-Fort Worth (Flower Mound, TX) or Chicago, IL

THE ROLE: DEALER FLOOR PLAN UNDERWRITING

As a Senior Credit Analyst– Inventory Finance, you will play a critical role in a commercial credit (dealer floorplan) underwriting function, supporting transactions of all sizes. You will be responsible for reviewing and processing transactions within assigned credit authority, while presenting larger or more complex exposures to senior management across all verticals.

This is a hands-on underwriting role requiring strong financial analysis, sound credit judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will bring broad commercial lending experience across a variety of asset classes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Underwrite transactions and prepare detailed, thorough credit memos outlining risks and mitigants; approve transactions within assigned credit authority and present larger exposures to senior management
  • Review and spread financial statements and tax returns to assess performance and trends; familiarity with Moody’s Financial/Risk Analysis or similar tools is preferred
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with Sales, Dealers, and internal partners, including Operations
  • Obtain and analyze public and private data, including Dun & Bradstreet, PayNet, Secretary of State records, and credit bureau reports
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the UCC perfection process, including reviewing UCC searches to determine lien priority and understanding intercreditor agreements and related legal documentation
  • Research industries, markets, and equipment as needed to support credit decisions
  • Work independently to manage new business requests, credit line increases, and annual reviews

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, or related field preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of commercial underwriting experience (not consumer or mortgage) in a bank or financial institution
  • Proven ability to analyze financials, identify trends, and build a clear credit story
  • Direct experience underwriting commercial dealer floor plan transactions
  • Exposure to floor plan asset classes (equipment, transportation, construction, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of UCC filings, lien structure, and secured lending principles
  • Ability to independently evaluate, structure, and recommend credit decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in credit memo development

COMPENSATION: $76,000 – $89,500; based on experience. This role is also eligible for yearly bonus.
