Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts is a K-12 Paideia Magnet school located at Jersey Pike and Hwy 58 in Chattanooga. We are a rigirious institution that expects inquiry-based and exploratory teaching and learning. This position is for 8th Grade Algebra 1. CSLA does not offer 8th grade Math.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
  • Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
  • Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Valid Tennessee teaching license in Mathematics 6-8, 6-12 Mathematics OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
  • Compensation & Additional Info:
    • Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
    • Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
