VP of Content
Crossover
This is not a role where you inherit an established media brand. You will build one from the ground up. As the founding Head of Media at Founders School, you will convert the everyday experiences of ambitious teenagers launching real companies into content that reaches millions and motivates the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Founders School is a New York-based elite high school where students do more than learn about business — they launch actual companies. This position is designed to transform that reality into media: capturing student-founder achievements, documenting live school programming, and packaging measurable results into credible, platform-optimized content that compels ambitious teens and their families to stop and engage.
You will control the entire cycle: identify the narrative, define the angle, create the content, distribute it strategically, and refine continuously until it generates tangible admissions interest. If you define success by cultural influence and qualified inbound demand rather than superficial metrics, this role is for you.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and distribute multi-channel story packages drawn from authentic student-founder achievements, progress indicators, and school moments that generate reach and drive admissions demand
- Convert workshops, mentorship sessions, founder presentations, and student journeys into content that educates on entrepreneurship while establishing credibility in the Founders School model
- Identify the most credible and shareable content from live Founders School programming, workshops, and speaker events and repackage them as thought-leadership material for students, parents, and guest speakers
- Train students to grow their own audiences and share their journeys, transforming them into authentic content creators and sustainable content sources
- Manage complete content execution across all platforms: story discovery, hook creation, production, distribution, and performance optimization
- Analyze engagement metrics weekly and systematically refine content angles, formats, and distribution tactics based on proven performance
- Integrate AI tools throughout research, scripting, editing, repurposing, and analytics to sustain a high-volume, high-quality production process
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Drafting institutional messaging, overseeing enrollment marketing, or creating polished branded assets that fail to generate external engagement
- Following a predefined content schedule or implementing an existing media playbook — you are creating the framework from first principles
- Chasing follower growth, posting frequency targets, or vanity engagement metrics unconnected to admissions pipeline and brand authority
- Executing isolated promotional initiatives or event livestreams without a structured post-event content distribution strategy
- Coordinating event operations or school administration; your responsibility is storytelling, not event management
VP Of Content Key Responsibilities
This role commands ownership of Founders School's complete external media presence and is responsible for creating a proof-based content system that positions Founders School as a nationally recognized entrepreneurial high school and produces 5,000 qualified inbound admissions inquiries within the first 12 months of launch.
Basic Requirements
- Proven track record driving audience growth through organic content, evidenced by a portfolio demonstrating proof-based storytelling and quantifiable reach, engagement, or demand-generation results.
- Proven capability to identify compelling narrative angles from unstructured interviews, raw footage, and milestones and transform them into platform-native content across a minimum of two channels
- Active use of AI-driven content production: ability to specify tools applied at each phase of research, scripting, editing, repurposing, and analytics
- Proven experience coaching creators, founders, students, or subject matter experts to produce engaging content and grow audiences.
- Authentic conviction that teenagers can build legitimate companies and that entrepreneurship serves as a positive force
- Availability to work full-time, in-person in New York, NY
- Legal authorization to work in the US
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Built a personal or brand audience from scratch
- Background in documentary, journalism, or content creation
- Prior work with founders or public figures
- Prior work with teenagers
- Experience within a creator-driven media organization
