Veterinary Assistant

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and caring Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about animal health and is eager to grow their skills in a hands-on clinical environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams, procedures, and surgeries
• Restrain and handle patients in a safe, calm, and compassionate manner
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the supervising veterinarian
• Collect and process laboratory samples (blood draws, urinalysis, cytology, etc.)
• Communicate with clients regarding appointments, discharge instructions, and general pet care
• Maintain accurate medical records in the practice management system
• Support front-of-house staff with check-in/check-out as needed

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred (but we are willing to train the right candidate!)
• Genuine love for animals and a calm, patient demeanor
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of veterinary terminology is a plus
• Availability for full-time or part-time hours, including some Saturdays
