Position Summary
The Human Resources Operations Specialist II administers the processing of human resources information within the Human Resources Information System. Processes human resource related transactions and provides excellent service to all customers, while adhering to organizational standards and policies.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Provides information and assistance to departmental users to facilitate and enable appropriate utilization of human resources management systems.
- Administers the processing of, and problem resolution for, personal, job, and position related data.
- Responsible for performing high level human resources transactions within functional area.
- Serves as a resource to leadership on proper procedures by attending meetings with department representatives.
- Works closely with finance departments, where applicable within functional area, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- May administer special compensation programs where applicable within functional area.
- Provides support, training and assistance to other human resources and organizational team members and leaders as needed.
- Ensures communication with customers and stakeholders is clear, accurate and timely. Responds to inquiries utilizing the appropriate Orlando Health policy language and appropriate state and federal laws.
- Conducts periodic audits and regular analysis of tasks to ensure service level goals are being met and for problem resolution where applicable, escalating complex issues to leadership as they arise.
- Advise departmental users as needed to ensure their needs are met in a timely manner while maintaining the integrity of the HRIS database.
- Runs and distributes a variety of reports according to established guidelines; assist in the development of custom reports to respond to customers’ needs.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

- Tracks and reports on trends and developments within functional area.
- Participates in development of departmental goals and objectives.
- Continually seeks to improve overall function of department.
- Attends meetings/in-services and presents information in department and other meetings as requested.
- Familiarizes customers with established human resources procedures, processes, and time frames.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all Orlando Health information.
- Assumes responsibility for ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Assists other Human Resources Solution Center functional areas as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience on a 1:1 basis may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree; offsetting experience must be in the field of Human Resources.
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required, including intermediate Excel and Outlook skills.
- Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
- Must be familiar with Federal, State, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and human rights guidelines and laws. Knowledge record retention and release of information laws.
