Job Summary
The Facilities & Projects Coordinator is responsible of managing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects for ScionHealth's hospitals. This role supports project managers/directors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
- Support and coordinate activities and project tasks under the direction of project managers.
- Organize meetings, coordinate project activities, coordinate project documentation, coordinate project lifecycle, coordinate project planning and schedules.
- Track and communicate project scope changes and identify budget problems.
- Serve as a liaison between contractors, vendors, hospital departments, and leadership ensuring clear communication of project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Create and maintain project files including but not limited to proposals, contracts, permits, reports, etc.
- Attend site walk throughs, document updates, and work with hospital operations to minimize disruptions to patient care.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Detailed oriented and effective communicator, able to engage clinicians, operations teams, and suppliers.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of healthcare facility regulations, codes, and accreditation requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills for building relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing capital projects in active hospital environments.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s Degree in Construction Management (Preferred)
- Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience in Construction Management and Project Management (May be Considered)
Licenses/Certifications
- Project Management Certification (Preferred)
Experience
- 2+ years progressing experience in construction and facilities-based project management in a healthcare or hospital setting (Required)
- Prior Experience that demonstrates strong knowledge of facilities, construction, capital projects related processes (Required)
